Dr. Brandi Wiens was born and raised in Hutchinson, Kansas. Since she was a young child, she has had the desire to care for people and initially wanted to be a missionary or teacher. Through life experience and God’s direction, the trajectory changed and she pursued the course of becoming a family medicine physician.
She obtained her undergraduate degree at the University of Kansas and graduated from KU School of Medicine in 2013, completing her residency training through Wesley Family Medicine in Wichita. She initially moved back to Hutchinson following residency and spent 8 years practicing in that community prior to joining AMC. She is passionate about family medicine, providing patient-centered, quality care and looks forward to joining the amazing practice Dr. Lemons has built. She lived in Andover with her children for several years through the completion of medical school and residency training and developed a love for the community which she is excited to return to.
Outside of work, she enjoys time with family and church which are important to her. In addition to two older children, she has 3 dogs and they love traveling and visiting National Parks. She loves being outdoors enjoying God’s creation and seeing wildlife, especially in the mountains.
